Geneva, Ohio – August 10, 2012 – SPIRE Institute is a place where even Olympians marvel. Athletes who’ve inspired nations and shattered records – yes, even they – are reduced to awe when they step inside SPIRE. These are the greats so you can imagine how the rest of us feel.

From the get go, SPIRE collaborated with sports federations, coaches, sport teams and iconic Olympians like Aimee Mullins, Michael Johnson, Mac Wilkins and Diana Munz to create SPIRE Institute. Everyone wants to help build the kind of training they wish they had back when they were competing.

Let us introduce you to a few of the athletes who have trained recently at SPIRE:

Jen Suhr: London 2012 Olympic Gold Medalist, Women’s Pole Vault.

Bridget Franek: London 2012 Olympic Steeplechase Finalist.

Jessica Beard: Two-time World Outdoor 4x400m relay Gold Medalist, 2011 NCAA Outdoor Champion, three-time USA Junior Champion.

USA Men’s Wheelchair Basketball Team

U.S. Junior Men’s National Volleyball Team

Kaitlyn Johnson: Former 28-time NCAA All-American, who broke a meet record at the qualifier for the Olympics.

Lauren Heller: Broke the meet record in the 13-14 year old 100 Meter Freestyle from 1986. A day later she broke Diana Munz’ 13-14 year old 200 Meter Freestyle meet record from 1995.

Add to that…

Defending Olympic Champions men’s USA Volleyball Gold Medalists Brian Thornton, David Smith, Paul Lotman and Matt Anderson were all coached by SPIRE Volleyball Director John Hawks. And SPIRE Volleyball Assistant Director Phil White, played with Gold Medalists David Lee, Paul Lotman and Reid Priddy during his collegiate career.
