SPIRE Athlete Brings Home the GOLD

Ekateríni Stefanídi won the Gold Medal in women's pole vault at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro clearing a height of 4.85 meters (15 feet 10 15/16 inches).

Ekateríni "Kat", born in Athens, Greece, was a NCAA Champion in the women's pole vault at Stanford University. She resides in Chesterland, Ohio with her husband, Mitch Krier, and has been training at SPIRE on a daily basis for over a year.

Kat represented her home country of Greece in the 2016 Olympic Games.
