Lacrosse Director and Head Coach JD Harkey is preparing for the influx of middle and high school athletes. Building strong minds, bodies and character are all hallmarks of Coach Harkey’s program. Harkey’s Prospect Camp is one of the many avenues he utilizes to seek talent and give high school students who may be yearning to play at a higher level what life as a member of the SPIRE athletic and academic family.
Coach Harkey explains how this camp is the next step in exposing more athletes to SPIRE and showcasing what the lacrosse academy is all about. “I’m excited to launch the lacrosse academy program here at SPIRE. We are looking for committed athletes who are team-first guys, hyper-competitive, intentional about developing their resiliency and leadership skills as well as lacrosse knowledge and technique. This camp will demonstrate the diverse offerings SPIRE provides for the holistic development of our student-athletes.”
First on deck is the Middle School Prospect Camp for current 5th through 8th graders from October 21-22. The High School Prospect Camp is October 28-29 and is open to current 9th-12th grade students.
