SPIRE Fit & Aquatics is SPIRE Institute's community fitness and health center is open to everyone! 

SPIRE Fit offers a variety of family, individual and senior memberships for those who desire a "best in class" workout environment. Health, wellness, and exercise are at the center of the SPIRE vision and SPIRE Fit promotes the values of these components for all of our members. SPIRE Fit features the latest equipment from some of the finest brands in exercise equipment including: CYBEX, Life Fitness, Keiser, Marpo Kinetics, and more. ADA compliant equipment is also available. A variety of group exercise classes are included with our general membership. Included in all fitness memberships is a free equipment orientation on the CYBEX circuit.

SPIRE Fit & Aquatics is a community fitness center whose target audience is the everyday exerciser. We provide group exercise for all ages, along with yoga and pilates for all levels and personal training. Whether you want to lose, maintain or gain weight, SPIRE Fit & Aquatics is the place for you.

This is a quick view of what is going on this week at the fitness center and pools, as well as any programs you may be interested in joining in on or watching.

SPIRE Fit & Aquatics offer three unique types of memberships for everyone.


Full Membership

(Access to the Fitness Center, Aquatics Facilities and Striders Walking)

  • Use of Fitness Center and Pools during operating hours.
  • Free Group Exercise and Cycle Classes.
  • Access to the SPIRE Striders Walking Program.
  • Membership Rates on Paid Fitness and Aquatics Programing.
  • Priority Registration on all Fitness and Aquatics Programing and Classes.
  • Guest Privileges (Members may bring a guest one time for free and then one time after that for $5. After the second visit, the guest would pay the daily pass fee. Guests must be 18 or older. Youth/Teen members do not have guest privileges.) See family definition. Max 2 guest per visit.

Fitness Only Membership

(Access to the Fitness Center and Striders Walking)

  • Use of Fitness Center during operating hours.
  • Free Group Exercise and Cycle Classes
  • Access to the SPIRE Striders Walking Program
  • Membership Rates on Paid Fitness Programing
  • Priority Registration on all Fitness Programing and Classes
  • Guest Privileges (Members may bring a guest one time for free and then one time after that for $5. After the second visit, the guest would pay the daily pass fee. Guests must be 18 or older. Youth/Teen members do not have guest privileges.) See family definition. Max 2 guest per visit.

Aquatics Only Membership

(Access to the Aquatics Center Only)

  • Use of Aquatics Facility during operating hours.
  • Membership Rates on Paid Aquatics Programing 
  • Priority Registration on all Aquatics Programing and Classes
  • Guest Privileges (Members may bring a guest one time for free and then one time after that for $5. After the second visit, the guest would pay the daily pass fee. Guests must be 18 or older. Youth/Teen members do not have guest privileges.) See family definition. Max 2 guest per visit.

Class Schedules

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

BALANCE YOURSELF (FREE TO MEMBERS) - Work on strengthening your core and mind/body connections. This is a great class for all levels. 

BOOT CAMP (PAID CLASS) - This high intensity total body workout uses plyometrics, calisthenics, and more to push you to your limit. Modified exercises are provided to take the class at your level. No coordination required. 

CHISEL YOUR MIDDLE (FREE TO MEMBERS) - This 30 minute class is designed as an intense workout that effectively targets the entire abdominal and back region. Crunch it into your busy schedule to get the results you have longed for. 

CIRCUIT EXPRESS (FREE TO MEMBERS) - Open to all levels, this circuit is designed to get results in a short time. Cardio and strength are worked. 

CYCLE EXPRESS (FREE TO MEMBERS) - Open to all levels, this shortened version of our cycle class is sure to get you back in form in less time. 

CYCLE (PAID CLASS) - Open to all levels. This indoor cycling class will take you on a ride through the flat lands to the mountain tops. Since you control your own pace and resistance, you can make this workout as easy or as challenging as you desire. MAX PARTICIPANTS: 10 

SENIOR CYCLE (FREE TO MEMBERS) - This 15 minute class will get your body moving. Proper form and cycling techniques are a focus along with aerobic conditioning. 

SILVERSNEAKERS® CLASSIC (FREE TO MEMBERS) - Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Handheld weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance; and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support. Don’t forget your water bottle. 

SILVERSNEAKERS® SPLASH (FREE TO MEMBERS) - Activate your urge for variety! Splash offers fun, shallow-water movement to improve agility and flexibility while addressing cardiovascular, strength and endurance conditioning. No swimming ability is required, and a SilverSneakers kickboard or other aquatic equipment is used to improve strength, balance and coordination. 

TAI CHI (PAID CLASS) - Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese Martial Art that increases health, wellbeing, vitality, and longevity. 

TOTAL FITNESS - This high energy and high intensity total body workout uses plyometrics, calisthenics and more to push you to your limit. Get ready to boost your cardio and strength, Modified exercises are provided to take the class yo your level. No coordination required. 

WATER AEROBICS (PAID CLASS) - Tone and sculpt your body without impact to your joints. Water fusion is a blend of cardio and resistance training, and it incorporates resistance tools such as buoyant water weights and noodles. 

YOGA (PAID CLASS) - Lengthen and strengthen your muscles and calm your mind in this basic yoga class. Great for all levels.

Personal Training -       Individual

Our certified personal trainers use their knowledge of proven exercise principles and specialized training techniques to help you achieve your goals. Your workouts will be designed specifically for you to optimize your time in the gym. All packages, excluding single session, come with a free body composition analysis with calipers and circumference measurements. *All trainers have a minimum of a bachelors degree in the field. 

Personal Training -       Group

Our certified personal trainers will work with you and one to two others to design and implement a program customized to the desires of your group. Fee is per person. All packages, excluding single session, come with a free body composition analysis with calipers and circumference measurements.

Personal Exercise Program

Rather work out at your own time and pace but need guidance? Our PEP program is perfect for you. Meet two times with our personal trainer to develop a training plan to reach your goals. During the first meeting, your trainer will conduct the initial assessment, go over goals and likes/dislikes to exercise and more. They will then take this information and create a six-week program for you. During the second meeting, your trainer will take you through the program and answer any questions you have. The trainer will check in with you periodically to answer any questions that may arise.

 

Free with SilverSneakers, Fitness Only or Full Membership, or $1/day or $15/month

Come join the adult indoor walking program. Get your walking exercise in the safe, comfortable, climate-controlled environment in the Field and Cristal Courts Building

  • Every weekday from 8:00am-4:00pm, you may walk as much as you'd like for just $1.00 a day or $15.00 per month. 
  • If you are a member of SPIRE Fit this program is included. Just show your SPIRE Fit membership card when signing in. 
  • Silver Sneakers cards are accepted. To check your eligibility visit SPIRE FIT in the Indoor Track and Field Building. To use your Silver Sneakers card there is no cost but you must register at SPIRE Fit prior to using your card at the front desk. 

SPIRE offers two different walking routes. 

  1. ​Low intensity: No stairs, once around the walking path of the building equals 1/2 mile. 
  2. High intensity: Utilize stairs, twice around the walking path of the building equals 1 mile. 

A softer surface is available for our walkers. This surface is often used when recovering from an injury or surgery. Be sure to ask about this when you call or visit the front desk.
